Getting Started
Getting started with our services begins with an intake session, a 60-minute appointment designed to assess your needs and determine the best course of action for your care.
Please note that this session is for assessment purposes only and does not guarantee an ongoing therapeutic relationship. If, during the session, we believe another provider or specialist would better meet your needs, we may refer you to someone else.
As we are an out-of-network practice, clients are responsible for coordinating with their insurance provider for reimbursement. To inquire about availability for an intake session, please call us or send an email to info@ballasthealthandwellness.com.
Step 1
Call or email us to talk to us about your current concerns to see if we are a good fit. If we are, we will go ahead and schedule an intake session.
Step 2
Create a list of potential contacts you think would be helpful for us to reach out to for care coordination. For example, psychiatrists, former therapists, or school counselors.
Step 3
Check with your insurance to see if they are able to cover out-of-network therapeutic services.
As you’re getting started, decide if you’d like to have in-person or virtual therapy sessions.
We offer in-person and virtual therapy in Maryland. While we primarily do in-person therapy, virtual therapy in Maryland offers flexible solutions to meet your mental health needs from anywhere.
